Sumanta Kundu completed his Ph.D. thesis work titled "Some Studies of Percolation Phenomena in Disordered Systems" from the Department of Theoretical Sciences, S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, India under the supervision of Prof. S. S. Manna in February 2019. Thereafter, he has worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Osaka University, Japan with Prof. T. Hatano on the Earthquakes. Currently, he is working on a project related to "Statistical mechanics approaches to Machine Learning and protein structure generation" with Prof. E. Orlandini at the University of Padova, Italy.
His current research interest lies in the field of Phase Transition in Complex Systems, Percolation, Statistical Physics of Fracture and Breakdown Phenomena including Earthquakes, and Machine Learning.
